Terence has over 35 years of experience optimizing human and system performance through the use of human-systems integration and systems engineering principles. He is a nationally recognized expert in training and education, having led teams developing learning strategy, curriculum, and learning solutions for government and Fortune 500 organizations, and has a proven track record of leading diverse group of scientists and engineers in conducting leading-edge research in military and educational settings. He is the author and editor of Human Factors Engineering in System Design, which is used in several graduate programs. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, served 25 years in the Air Force, and was on the faculty of the Academy two different times, retiring from there and the Air Force in 2007.

Terence holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.Ed. in Adult Learning, Training, and Development from Regis University, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly, and a graduate certificate in Positive Organization Development from Champlain College.

Terence is a life-long snow skier, first picking that up in the late 70s in Lake Tahoe and enjoys camping and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. He is married to Debbie and has two married adult children, five grandchildren, and a senior in high school. He is a survivor of a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and a myeloid sarcoma brain tumor. He resides with his family in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.
